is no secret that hazelnuts have long been considered a gourmet food,
and lately, their consumption is increasing as medical studies prove
the health benefits of including hazelnuts to your diet.|
Hazelnut groves are gaining in popularity as an important part of
"lifestyle farming" and provide loads of fun and satisfaction
for weekend and semi-retired farmers.
Trees can be grown as a small grove or as a hedge – providing
shade and shelter in summer and letting sun in during the winter.
Once mature a grove of 25 trees will keep two people in nuts, or 75
trees a family of four.
We provide a mix of four or five varieties which will all cross pollinate
and provide nuts, supplying a range of tasty and healthy kernels for
the family table.
Grove Packs, Hedge Packs and Small Farm Packs are
available as Limited Specials at the Mudgee
Small Farm Field Days in July, but can also be ordered
in advance to make sure you don't miss out.
Make up and price is dependent on the season and supply of individual
Packs are provided with a suggested planting grid and basic instructions
on planting and care.
